The Alchemy of Identity

It begins with friction — two selves colliding. The mother who learned to quiet her needs, and the artist who was never meant to be silenced. Both born out of necessity, yet no longer able to coexist. This piece explores the alchemy of identity, where one self is broken down, dissolved, and reconstituted into something else.

A metamorphosis that is both sacred and violent. It is an undoing. A fire burning at the edges of all things I knew as truth. But within the heat, something new begins to form. The fragments that are left come together. What survives is not the mother or the artist — but a transformed self who carries the memory of both.
